Word-Filled Wednesday
Isn't it amazing to know that when we're in trouble, when things are looking dark, gloomy & grim, all we have to do is Run to the Lord, Call His name, and we are Safe?! I need to remember this verse always, because it's easy to forget sometimes!

And don't forget today is Veteran's Day! Give thanks to a vet today for all they have given us. My Poppa is a WWII vet, stormed the beaches @ Normandy, and lived to tell about it. I am so thankful to have him in my life, and that he fought so hard for my freedom.

I Heart Musicals
It's true, I do. Name a musical..any. Chances are I've watched it way too many times, and know all the lyrics to every song. I drove my Dad crazy growing up watching them, and now I have the privilege of driving my dear Hubby crazy-hehe :)
I have too many to list, but I was thinking how about every Tuesday I write a little about a musical I like, how would that sound?
This week's musical is "Little Shop of Horrors". Yes, I love this movie. The music, choreagraphy, actors & comedy complete make this movie awesome. I first saw this movie @ my Aunt's house when I was younger. Ever since then, I've been hooked. I was in my musical mood last night, looked through them all, and realized I haven't watched this one in quite some time.
Here is my favorite scene/song from the movie. If you know the words, be my guest and sing-along.
So here you go, for your viewing enjoyment :)**Don't forget to scroLL down to the bottom and pause music currently playing**

"Not Me!" Mondays
will not be participating in "not me" Monday today because of her son, Stellan's, health right now. But I've decided to join in anyway :)
I did NOT completely lay around all last week, watching way too many lifetime movies and old Roseanne episodes. I would Never be that lazy, I'm a very well balanced woman who always follows a strict schedule and lists...LoL.
I did NOT fall in the bathtub on Saturday while giving my furbabies a flea bath. I'm highly coordinated, and always watch what I'm doing. (Well, atleast I had my weekly flea bath, too, hehe).
I did NOT try on 4 different outfits this morning before heading to my first day @ work. I would never stress, or even care what I'm wearing. Nope, not me..never.
I did NOT get really frustrated this evening when I tried clocking out @ work. I, of course, wrote down all my passwords to everything needed @ the hospital--so of course I was able to clock out when needed. (As a matter of fact, I still can't figure out my password to clock-out OR my hospital e-mail password. We have like 6 different areas where passwords are needed. Why couldn't I be smart and use the same password for all areas?)
Why? Because, well..that's just not me :)
Thanks for playing along!
And yes, I had a good day @ work. Training all this week, and next. Still frustrated over the whole password thing--they will just have to help me out tomorrow! Now I must go study my notes of everything we went over today--because tomorrow I'll have a test :(
I think I'm gonna like it there, test or no test :)

The Sheep and The Goats

I'm joining Brittany @
Sweet Nothingsthis beautiful Sunday for Worship and Praise Sunday, where fellow friends & Christians share a favorite song, video or lyrics to a song that are really speaking to us. If you would like to join in, follow the link to Brittany's blog :)
Okay, so here lately, the Lord has really been speaking to me through Matthew 25:31-46 where Jesus is talking about the Sheep and the Goats. I'm still meditating on this scripture, and song, and trying to get everything out of it I'm supposed to.
Because our lives are so busy, and there truly aren't enough hours in the day, we sometimes don't get to do everything that we NEED to do (but yet we always make time for want we WANT to do).
"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
Enjoy this song by Keith Green (Yes, I do love him! lol), entitled The Sheep & The Goats (how appropriate!). And folksies, it's all scripture.**Scroll down to the bottom of my bloG to mute the music currently playing**
I'm constantly falling short of the grace of God, I stumble and I fall. But Lord, I want to do what YOU want me to do ALWAYS.
I'm still, even today, striving to be the Sheep.

Six Word Saturdays
My Free Ride is almost OVER!
that's right, my week of free time will be up Monday. Training begins Monday @ 10 a.m.; I'll be staying until 6 p.m. I am assuming this will be my schedule for all of next week, or until training is finished. After that, my schedule will vary..a lot. Basically-i'm 'On Call' all the time, @ any time. My friend, Susan (the girl who I made the pillow for who is getting married next month--see earlier post from this week), works in this same department and works crazy hours. Like last night, she worked 2:30 p.m. until midnight. Ouch..but, I'm completely fine with that. This is a great experience for me, and I'm so thankful for having the chance to get this experience! This will be a great stepping stone for me!
Okay, I'm SO tired of talking about WHEN I will start, and all my nervousness. I'm ready for Monday to be here already! That way I can come and let you fine folksies know how my first day went!
Thank you for all your prayers, words of encouragement, and thoughts! You folksies are wonderful :)

Miscellaneous
I must say, only 6 days into NaBloPoMo and I'm beginning to hit Mr. Writer's Block. It's okay, my life will become interesting @ some point this month.
Monday I start my training @ the Hospital. I'm really excited..and nervous, of course. I've had the same job for 11 years, and had my own little comfort zone there. Now, I'm going into a completely different setting, learn a whole new routine, meet new people, and basically walk into a new stage in my life. Yes, it's exciting, but I am still nervous. I'm a shy person, people. I know once I get into the swing of things there, I'll be okay. Prayers and words of encouragement from you fine folksies would be wonderful, though.
Also, I actually have been posting every day, but I've been writing my posts @ night this week, so that is why the days are behind on my previous posts. I didn't want NaBloPoMo people to get on me! LoL.
I am snagging this ABC-Get-To-Know-You-Questionnaire from
Dustbunnies and Divas.A-Age:
25. My 25th birthday hit me really hard. I'm not really sure why, I think it just finally hit me how fast time really goes.
B-Bed Size:
FuLL. And yes, I'm in the market for a new one! Sharing a bed with my hubby and 3 of our furbabies tends to get really tight some nights! LoL.
C-Chore you hate:
LAUNDRY! I loathe it, mainly because it's never-ending.
D-Dog's Name:
I have 4 furbabies. Misty (sheltie), Annabelle (mix with dachsund & labrador), Elijah (Pitt) & Elliot (mix with hound & labrador).
E-Essential start your day item:

A couple, but my favorite has to be yellow. It's so happy :)
G-Gold or Silver:
Silver, always :)

So completely blessed. I never cease to thank Him for all of my blessings. The Lord is ever faithful, and always merciful :)
J-Job:
I will begin work in the patient access department @ our local hospital. Basically working in registration @ the ER, Day Hospital, working the switchboard, and other varying tasks. Thank You, Jesus! :)
K-Kids:
None @ the moment. Hubby & I are waiting to finish school, and just take advantage of the time God has given us to enjoy one another. However, our furbabies are our children, that's for sure. And spoiled @ that!
L-Living arrangements:
Home in the middle of suburbia. Three bedrooms, 1 bath, living room, dining room, kitchen, sunroom, & laundry room. This is the home my dear hubby grew up in. I love it! Although it does need a major paint job!

Word-FiLLed Wednesday
The purpose of Word-Filled Wednesday is to share God's word through photo's & a verse! :)

But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, and Self-Control. Here there is no conflict with the law.
Galatians 5:22-23
This is one of my favorite verses. My hope and prayer is that God continually places these fruits within me, where other people can see my fruits and know that I am a Child of God! :)

I've been busy...
Well..sort of! I'm starting to get some stitchin' together for Christmas gifts. I have some finished already. I've also been working on a gift for my friend Susan's wedding shower this coming Saturday. I thought I would give you guys a look @ what I've done...
This is the pillow I finished this evening for Susan. It says "Susan & Landen-established 2009". I am hoping she likes it! It would be so pretty sitting on her couch, or bed..or wherever I think! If she doesn't like it, I'll change our names! LoL
I finished this one a couple weeks back for my cousin, Ruthie. It says "Mooving forward by Faith" (on cow fabric). A little back story--She & her family are originally from FL, but moved to WI after her husband retired so that he could be closer to his family. Well, it wasn't really what Ruthie wanted to do, I know, but being a good wife & mother, she of course went. I thought this pillow would make her smile & laugh. Because, after all, she is moving forward by faith :)
Hope you guys like these pillows! I love making them, they are so much fun!
